Appointments

A private clinic's day is decided at the front desk, not in the consulting room. Someone has to keep the list moving, take the money decision while the patient is still on the phone, and make sure nobody is booked twice or quietly forgotten. VeriPath Health Clinics runs all of it — the diary, the payer and the outcome — on one list your team works from.

One list for the day you are actually in

The appointments view opens on today, and a filter takes you to tomorrow, this week, next week, last week or the whole history in one click. Every line carries the time, the patient, the clinician, the consultation type and the status, so the desk can see what is still to come, what is done, and who did not turn up — without opening a single record.

The payer is settled while the patient is still on the phone

Self-pay, private insurance or a corporate sponsor: the decision is taken at booking, in the same breath as the appointment itself. Choose private insurance and the app asks for the insurer, the membership number and the pre-authorisation code there and then — captured while the patient is in front of you, rather than chased weeks later when the invoice is being put together. Corporate work is booked the same way, with the sponsor recorded against the appointment.

Booked in one pass

The patient is found by name as your receptionist types, so the appointment lands on the right record first time — not from a scroll through everyone the clinic has ever seen. Add the clinician, the consultation type, the date and time and the reason for the visit, and the booking is done. Each consultation type carries its own price, shown as the type is chosen, so the desk can quote it before the patient has to ask.

The clinician arrives prepared

The reason for the visit is captured at booking — in the patient's own words, or as a coded term where the clinic wants its front desk to record one. The clinician opens the day knowing what is coming, instead of working it out appointment by appointment once the door is closed.

Outcomes recorded, not remembered

A consultation is closed off as attended, or marked as no show if the patient never came. Cancel an appointment and the reason travels with it. The clinic ends the month able to tell the work it booked from the work that actually happened — and can answer a question about a missed appointment without a paper diary.

Not every appointment starts at the desk

Patients can ask for an appointment through the personal web app, which has its own page in this section. Either way it lands on the same list.
